Sask Pork is the representative organization of
all Saskatchewan pork producers. It was established in 1998 to lead
and provide industry programs and services to producers, province
wide. Managed by a Board of Directors that represents all producers
and production levels, and with a staff complement of 5.5, Sask
Pork provides programs and services which include: Industry Communications,
Industry Development, Research, Canadian Quality Assurance Program,
Environmental Management and Product Promotion.
Partnerships:
As the voice of the producers and of our industry,
Sask Pork partners with key organizations to facilitate opportunities
and services to both the producer and to key stakeholder groups.
Our partnerships include, the University of Saskatchewan, the Prairie
Swine Centre, Agrivision Corporation, Farm Animal Care Council,
PAMI, and Sask Ag and Food. These important partnerships allow Sask
Pork to facilitate up to date information to producers and its public
in the areas of animal health and welfare, environmental engineering
and manure management, food safety, agri-business and industry development
opportunities.
