Sask Pork Corporate Information
Established in 1998, Sask Pork is the industry association for provincial hog producers. The organization's mission and vision is:
Through communications programming, public policy development and industry and swine research, Sask Pork works on behalf of Saskatchewan pork producers to ensure the sustainability of the pork industry within a diverse provincial agricultural economy.
Driven by a six member Board of Directors, the 5.5 staff provide programmes and services to that end. Some of the specific programming areas include:
- swine industry research
- industry profiles, statistics and information
- delivery of an on-farm food safety programme (Canadian Quality Assurance (CQA®) Programme)
- product promotion
- traceability
