Meet Sask Pork.

The Saskatchewan Pork Development Board (Sask Pork) was established in 1998 by the provincial Pork Industry Development Regulations pursuant to The Agri-Food Act

A check-off is collected on all hogs raised in Saskatchewan for slaughter; market hogs $0.85; $.23 per hog for all hogs under 100 lbs., and $0.85 on all breeding stock exported from Canada.

Through the check-off and complementary funding support, Sask Pork delivers core programs and producer services including industry communications, product promotion, industry development and sustainability, economic and policy analysis, AgEducation activities, producer services and swine industry research.
