MSc in Swine Nutrition (Precision Feeding)
The Prairie Swine Centre is seeking passionate, bright, and highly motivated individuals interested in a fully-funded position as an MSc graduate student in the disciplines of swine nutrition – precision feeding. The successful candidate will join a strong, multidisciplinary academic and research team with expertise in non-ruminant nutrition, feed processing, management, welfare, metabolism, and physiology. The selected candidate will be enrolled in the Department of Animal and Poultry Science and will receive their degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
The anticipated start date is January 2026.
The successful candidate will lead and assist with projects involving both classical swine nutrition (e.g., growth performance, nutrient utilization) and advanced (e.g., immune status, nutrient modelling) techniques. The current nutrition research program is focused on the impact of early-life nutrition on growth, the impact of nutrition on health, and factors affecting nutrient requirements and utilization.

Producer Services Specialist
Sask Pork is a non-profit organization representing Saskatchewan’s hog producers. Our mission is to provide leadership and collaborate with stakeholders to foster a positive business environment and stimulate long-term growth and investment in Saskatchewan’s pork industry.
We are seeking a skilled individual with experience and a passion for animal agriculture to join our dedicated team in a full-time office-based position.
This position is primarily responsible for provincial coordination of the Canadian Pork Excellence (CPE) suite of programs in Saskatchewan. You will work directly with pork producers to assist them in fulfilling the requirements of these programs and offer guidance and in-house training as required relating to on-farm food safety practices, swine health, biosecurity, animal transport, and animal care.
The position is also responsible for administering and delivering Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) training; providing input into Sask Pork’s swine research program; industry emergency planning and preparedness. Occasional travel will be required for off-site producer and transporter training, national/ regional conferences, and industry meetings.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
A degree or diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science), Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Technology, or a related field.
Significant knowledge of modern pork production methods, including in-barn swine production experience.
Excellent organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Access Database software.
