Asian Pork Stir-Fry

This is a great recipe to have in your back pocket on busy weeknights. Also a great way to use up those vegetables in your crisper before they go bad. Frozen vegetable mixes work well too.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) Pork tenderloin, cut into thin strips

  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) canola oil, divided

  • 1 lb (500 g) seasonal stir-fry vegetables, sliced to equal thickness

  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) sesame oil, divided

  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) hoisin sauce

  • 2 tsp (10 mL) soy sauce

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) hot sauce

  • 3 cups (750 mL) bean sprouts

Directions

  1. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, stir-fry pork strips in canola oil for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.

  2. Add sesame oil and vegetables. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes or until almost cooked.

  3. Add sprouts; stir-fry 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and add hoisin sauce, soy sauce and hot sauce. Mix together and heat through. Transfer to serving platter.
