Asian Pork Stir-fry
This is a great recipe to have in your back pocket on busy weeknights. Also a great way to use up those vegetables in your crisper before they go bad. Or frozen vegetable mixes work well too.
Cut: Pork Tenderloin
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Number of Servings: 4
1 lb (500 g) Pork tenderloin, cut into thin strips
1 Tbsp (15 mL) canola oil, divided
1 lb (500 g) seasonal stir-fry vegetables, sliced to equal thickness
1 Tbsp (15 mL) sesame oil, divided
1 Tbsp (15 mL) hoisin sauce
2 tsp (10 mL) soy sauce
1 tsp (5 mL) hot sauce
3 cups (750 mL) bean sprouts
In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, stir-fry pork strips in canola oil for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.
Add sesame oil and vegetables. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes or until almost cooked.
Add sprouts; stir-fry 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and add hoisin sauce, soy sauce and hot sauce. Mix together and heat through. Transfer to serving platter.
